Sharing God's Love in Nursing Homes and Hospitals

Greetings in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  What joy it is for me to visit several nursing homes in the area. On a regular basis the doors are open at St. Joseph’s Villa, Pioneer Manor and Sudbury Algoma Hospital for sharing the Word and ministry to individuals.  What a blessing to witness the touch of the Holy Spirit as the Word of God is spoken and a line from an old hymn brings tears to the eyes of the listeners. God is faithful as we offer ourselves to be channels of His love.  All the nursing homes and hospitals are visited regularly.  If you know someone who would appreciate a visit, even in their own home, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will gladly respond.

Sharing the Word at Home and Church

Study the Word

Every Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m., and Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m., a group of ladies from various area churches gather at my home to unite in prayer, praise and the study of God’s Word. Currently, we are learning about The Armor of God. What wonderful revelations the Holy Spirit gives us as we look to Him to shed light on each passage. We are all growing in the knowledge of God’s Word and being strengthened in our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Sunday mornings, following the service, you’ll find me in the Chapel teaching an adult elective: How to Hear the Voice of God. This mixed group of men and women provides a golden opportunity to grow in our understanding of God’s Word.  Connecting with other members of our church family builds friendships that assist us as we walk together with the Lord.

I extend a warm invitation to you to attend any of these gatherings, and promise you will be blessed by the Lord’s presence in our midst.  Keep checking for updates as study emphases change in the future months. God bless you richly.

Peaceful Stillness Reigns

Breakthrough

When winds are raging o'er the upper ocean,
And waves are tossed wild with an angry roar,
It's said, far down beneath the wild commotion,
That peaceful stillness reigns forevermore.

Far, far beneath, noise of tempests fall silent,
And silver waves lie ever peacefully,
And no storm, however fierce or violent,
Disturbs the Sabbath of that deeper sea.

So, too, the heart that knows your love, O Father,
There is a temple sacred evermore,
And all life's angry voices causing bother
Die in hushed silence at its peaceful door.

Far, far away, the roars of strife fall silent,
And loving thoughts rise ever peacefully,
And no storm, however fierce or violent,
Disturbs the soul that dwells, O Lord, in Thee
