SCDF Sudbury Christian Deaf Fellowship
Our Mission
For the Deaf community in this area to have access to Christian education in their own language and follow the call of Christ with respect to the uniqueness of Deaf Culture.
To create an organization that gives opportunity for the Deaf to seek God through the teaching of His word (the Bible), prayer, and Christian fellowship in American Sigh Language.
A priority for SCDF is to see Sudbury Christian Deaf Fellowship under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, become a ministry built through the Deaf and for the Deaf.
Great Beginings
SCDF started in the spring of 2008. We are a group of Deaf and Hearing Christians who are committed to see a true Deaf church experience available for the Deaf community in our area.
Annual plans include;
- Workshops presented by Deaf Leaders in the Christian Community.
- A weekend Deaf Retreat held at the Ontario Camp for the Deaf.
- Monthly meetings packed full of teaching, music, skits, games and great fellowship.

Annual Parry Sound Deaf Retreat
Ontario Camp for the Deaf
In the Fall of each year we travel to Parry Sound, to spent the weekend in the most beautiful area in all of Ontario. This is the Annual Deaf Retreat at the Ontario Camp for the Deaf.
In 2009 Rev. John Graham, the Pastor of New Life Deaf Church in Milton, Ontario was the Guest Presenter
We had a great weekend, meeting new and old friends and enjoying a special time in worship, led by Shelley Guinn and great teaching by Pastor John. Hope you will join us next year!
