Thursday June 17th was our annual Summer Picnic. We enjoyed music, stories, and great skits. We also had a special time remembering the example Jesus gave us as He washed the Apostle's feet. Thanks to everyone! We had a great year!

OM Fall Retreat

Sept 17th to 19th

Applications for camp are due Aug. 31st. Please bring your application with money to church, or if you need someone to pick-up your application let us know. If you don't have an application, they can be picked up any Sunday morning, see Wendy or Vicky. This year we are very excited to see the guest Presenter, Kenneth Nuttall from Scotland.

Our Mission

For the Deaf community in this area to have access to Christian education in their own language and follow the call of Christ with respect to the uniqueness of Deaf Culture.

To create an organization that gives opportunity for the Deaf to seek God through the teaching of His word (the Bible), prayer, and Christian fellowship in American Sigh Language.

A priority for SCDF is to see Sudbury Christian Deaf Fellowship, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, become a ministry built through the Deaf and for the Deaf.

Great Beginnings

SCDF started in the spring of 2008. We are a group of Deaf and Hearing Christians who are committed to see a true Deaf church experience available for the Deaf community in our area.
Annual plans include;

Workshops presented by Deaf Leaders in the Christian Community.
A weekend Deaf Retreat held at the Ontario Camp for the Deaf.
Monthly meetings packed full of teaching, music, skits, games and great fellowship.
Sunday morning interpreted services.

Parry Sound Deaf Retreat September 17th -19th 2010

Ontario Camp for the Deaf; Registrations now due!

Each Fall we travel to Parry Sound to spent the weekend in the most beautiful area in all of Ontario. This is the Annual Deaf Retreat at the Ontario Camp for the Deaf. This is a great time to meet new friends and see some old ones, come along with us we guarantee a great time.

This year we will be heading for Parry Sound Sept. 17th to 19th. Guest speaker is Kenneth Nuttall from Glasgow, Scotland. Registrations will available at our next SCDF Fellowship June 17th, and can be picked up from Wendy or Vicky Sunday morning church services.

We'll have a great weekend, meeting new and old friends and enjoying a special time in worship, and great teaching. Hope you will join us this Fall!

2010 Spring Workshop

This year our 2nd Annual Spring Workshop was a great success; The Heart of Worship in American Sign Language.

We had a great time, this two day event was packed full of teaching, expression and good fun. Be sure to come out next year and join the 3rd Annual Spring Workshop 2011.
