Serving During the Service
Serving the congregation during the church service is a special calling. It requires sensitivity to the needs of others, a sense of calling to pray for the congregation, and a commitment to be punctual.
Greeters;
You are the first contact people will make when they come to a service. Your natural inclination is to extend love and grace and portray a genuine concern for the well-being of others.
Ushers;
You will welcome people to the sanctuary and control the seating of people. You are an advocate for the comfort of others and will take steps to make certain people are seated comfortably. You will respond to situations as they arise in the sanctuary to ensure the service is conducted with decorum. You will conduct the offering, hand out the bulletin, distribute communion elements, and be available to the Pastors.
Altar Workers;
Your special gift is to pray over the needs of others and to intercede on behalf of those unable to attend. You have empathy to the needs of others and are able to keep confidences.
If you feel called to any of these positions, please contact us for consideration.
