Linda Veldhuizen is a Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) missionary and the director of Noah's Ark Children's Home in the Philippines. Many abandoned, vulnerable and abused children have found a loving home and a golden opportunity for a brighter future there.  Between March and June, some children are released from the Home as this is their summer break and a good time to make the transition.  Although it is so difficult to see the children leave, staff are always so delighted that their families are able get them back. This past August, some children were placed back with their families and while new ones arrived.  Noah's Ark currently houses 32 children who access a formal education which they otherwise would not be able to access, without having found their way there.

BIBLE CLUB

In June 2009, “Noah’s Ark Bible Club” was started. It is held once a month. About 50-70 children attend. The children play games, sing, hear Bible stories and of course have a snack!  Noah's Ark's high school students take an active role in the leadership and are learning a lot. Nothing can be accomplished without your prayerful and financial support.  Thank you for partnering with us.

School of Hope. In Spanish it has a sweet ring to it “Escuela de Esperanza”

Last year there was political unrest in Honduras which hampered the ability to gather necessary information required to build the School of Hope and there were no funds available. For these two reasons ERDO felt that this large project was not feasible at the current time. With this in mind, the Lundrigan's developed a second proposal and submitted it to ERDO and their Regional Director on June 8, 2010.  Having recieved approval they have moved forward with their new plan.

The new plan includes completing a needs analysis in the public schools that are close to the Feeding Centers. Starting educational programs that will meet the needs for equipment, curriculum, repairs. Reaching out to these communities on a spiritual basis impacting lives for Christ.  The Lundrigan's have applied to become Directors of Child Care Plus in Honduras.  Benefits of this new plan include:  Launching school projects from within the existing infrastructure of the Public School system. Children and teachers accessing supplies they cannot otherwise afford.  They are in the planning stages of starting a Super Saturday program for kids age 6-12 years old, a once a month program to evangelize the Public schools.

Appreciating those who are believing with them they reiterate "God can work miracles so that the dreams of these little children for a hope and future can become a reality". Jeremiah 29: 11 is what they are hanging on to. “For I know the plans I have for you`` declares the Lord, ``plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”.

Lillian Tarvud

Lillian Tarvudd, who has been part of the Glad Tidings
family for 28 years now, grew up attending this church and attributes much of her spiritual growth to those who have taught and
influenced her here through the years.

For the last 9 years I have been involved with a ministry called DRIME
(a ministry of Power to Change, formerly known as Campus Crusade for
Christ).  DRIME is a street drama evangelism ministry that uses drama as
a tool to get into spiritual dialogue with people that stop to watch.
The heart of the ministry is the streets, using the dramas to engage
people in spiritual things outside of the church building. We use drama,
a creative, non-threatening way to engage people. After many years of
volunteering with the ministry, I have now accepted a position working
for DRIME.  Now I am not only ministering on the streets but I am
involved in empowering and training others in how to share their faith
in Christ.  DRIME is not simply a drama group with a Christian message
but it is an evangelism ministry where people need to be equipped in
both drama and evangelism.  My position is overseeing the leaders of our
various teams here in Canada and to help equip our international teams
in San Diego, Kenya, Brazil, and soon in Paraguay and Benin (both
starting up in the Spring 2010).  It is exciting to be doing Kingdom
work.  I can't think of anything I'd rather do.

David, Rhonda and family are in Switzerland. The children started school the week after they arrived there. They are attending a Christian school in Germany. They have found a wonderful place to live, praise God!

The Fortunes are pastoring Crossroads International Church of Basel. The name ' Crossroads' is very appropriate for this church as it lies at crossroads of three countries - France, Germany and Switzerland. It is an international congregation and very similar to the church and ministry in Azerbaijan where they formerly served. While there are lots of church buildings in Basel the gospel has disappeared from life in Europe. There is tremendous opportunity for outreach and church planting there.
